Director Global Research & Strategist

Prof. John Osonwa is a U.S. trained Climate Change, Environmental, Organic Agriculture, Renewable Energy, and Youth Empowerment Expert with 25 years experience. He has served as Adjunct Professor globally, most recently at the University of Abuja. 

Prof. John Osonwa has provided Consultancy Input to the United Nations (UN) focusing on the impact of Climate Change on Forced Migration, Food Security and Regional Conflict in Africa. He has served as Consultant to the National Assembly of Nigeria (Parliament) since 2012 in his areas of expertise and regularly drafts Regulations and Guidelines for Nigeria. 

He is a Distinguished Fellow of the Institute for Humanitarian Studies and Social Development. He has received several awards from the Rotary Club for outstanding contribution to Youth Development and Environmental Protection. 

He is regularly featured as a Keynote Speaker and Resource Professional for major Conferences, Seminars and Workshops in Africa. He has done Training involving NYSC Members and other Youth Organizations. He has designed, funded and implemented several Youth Projects, including the Green Future Project and the Million Youth Bamboo Employment and Skills Training (MYBEST) Programme. 

He is the Founder of VIRGIN ORGANIC COMPANY LTD which operates Climate-Smart, Integrated, Organic Farms in Africa and the CEO of NET ZERO CLIMATE SOLUTIONS LTD which provides Climate Mitigation and Adaptation Solutions and Strategies to Companies and Organizations. 

Prof. Osonwa is one of the most respected and most requested Environmental, Organic Agriculture, Climate Change, Renewable Energy, and Youth Empowerment Expert for most African Media outfits, including NTA, CHANNELS TV, AIT, ITV, Silverbird, Radio Nigeria and numerous other Stations. 

He is the Designer and Initiator of the "Two Billion Trees Project" which is a transformative Project for ensuring Food Security, Mass Employment, Economic Diversification, and Climate Change Mitigation in Nigeria and in Africa. 

He is the author of two books: "Overcoming the 35 Challenges to Agricultural Expansion and Food Security in Africa." (2024 Release) and "100 Ways Africa Can Fight Climate Change and Environmental Degradation: A Guide to Reducing Damages, Diseases and Death." (2025 Release)
